Mental Health Animation
Percentage of adults who were likely to be experiencing some form of depression during the coronavirus (COVID-19)
Challenge
To create two animations, one for B2B and one for B2C, about the anxiety people can face when managing their money and the ways this can be alleviated through a new toolkit that was being offered by Mental Health and Money Advice. Our challenge was to convey what someone may feel when managing their money during these uncertain times.
Insight
There was a number of key things to communicate from within the toolkit, which were helping people take control of finances, get free debt advice, navigate the benefit system.
We also know that mental health can affect people of any background.
Solution
Using some artwork from the toolkit, we based the animation around a circular theme. These negative cycles are depicted in red and eventually calm down to show a calmer flow of thought and energy. We also applied this to the background movement. We designed and included a variety of ethnicities and ages for the content to show that we recognise mental health can affect anyone.
